Description :
This dish combines juicy grilled chicken with creamy orzo and tender broccoli, all brought together by a nutty, tangy tahini sauce. It’s a perfect balance of freshness and comfort — high in protein, rich in texture, and full of Mediterranean flavor. The orzo absorbs the creamy sauce beautifully, while the tahini adds depth and warmth to every bite.
Ingredients:
For the Chicken:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon lemon juice
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon paprika
Salt and black pepper to taste
For the Orzo and Broccoli:
1 cup uncooked orzo pasta
2 cups small broccoli florets
1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
1 cup low-fat milk or chicken broth
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Tahini Sauce:
3 tablespoons tahini
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 small garlic clove, minced
2 tablespoons warm water (adjust for thickness)
Salt to taste
Directions :
Grill the Chicken
Marinate chicken with olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Grill over medium heat for 5–6 minutes per side until fully cooked and lightly charred. Set aside to rest.
Cook the Orzo and Broccoli
Boil orzo in salted water according to package directions. In the last 2 minutes of cooking, add broccoli florets to the same pot.
Drain and return to the pan. Stir in olive oil (or butter), milk or broth, Parmesan, and season with salt and pepper until creamy.
Make the Tahini Sauce
In a small bowl, whisk together tahini, lemon juice, minced garlic, warm water, and salt until smooth and pourable.
Assemble the Dish
Spoon creamy orzo and broccoli onto plates. Top with sliced grilled chicken and drizzle generously with tahini sauce.
