🛒 Ingredients
2 lbs (900 g) ground beef (80/20 for best juiciness)
1 cup breadcrumbs (panko or plain)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (divided: half for mixture, half for topping)
2 large eggs
1 small onion, finely diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
½ cup milk
¼ cup ketchup
1 tablespoon yellow mustard
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper

½ cup ketchup
1 tablespoon mustard
1 tablespoon brown sugar
Extra shredded cheddar cheese
👩🍳 Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment or lightly grease a loaf pan.
Mix the meatloaf
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, ½ cup cheddar, eggs, onion, garlic, milk, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
Mix gently until just combined (don’t overmix).
Shape
Form into a loaf shape on the baking sheet or press into a loaf pan.
Add topping
Mix ketchup, mustard, and brown sugar. Spread over the top.
Bake
Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
Add cheese finish
Sprinkle remaining ½ cup cheddar on top. Return to oven for 5 minutes until melted and bubbly.
Rest
Let rest 10 minutes before slicing.
