Directions:

Prep the loaf: Slice the baguette in half lengthwise. Brush lightly with olive oil.

Toast: Bake at 190°C / 375°F for 8–10 minutes until lightly crisp.

Mix topping: In a bowl, combine tomatoes, garlic, basil, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper.

Assemble: Spoon the tomato mixture over the toasted bread.

Finish: Sprinkle with Parmesan (optional).

Bake again: Return to oven for 5–7 minutes, just until warm and fragrant.

Optional upgrade: Drizzle with extra olive oil or a touch of honey balsamic glaze.
