Ingredients
2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 packet (1 ounce) dry ranch dressing mix
1/2 cup mayonnaise
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
1/2 cup crumbled Ritz crackers
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 (7.5 ounce) can refrigerated crescent roll dough
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish. (5 minutes)
2. Place the chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish. (2 minutes)
3. In a medium bowl, combine the ranch dressing mix, mayonnaise, and cream cheese. Mix until smooth and creamy. (3 minutes)
4. Spread the mixture evenly over the chicken breasts. (2 minutes)
5. Sprinkle 1/2 cup of the cheddar cheese over the cream cheese mixture. (1 minute)
6. In a small bowl, combine the Ritz crackers and melted butter. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the cheese. (2 minutes)
7. Unroll the crescent roll dough and place it over the top of the casserole, sealing the edges as best as possible. (5 minutes)
8. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese over the crescent roll dough. (1 minute)
9. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the crescent roll dough is golden brown and flaky. (30-35 minutes)
10. Let stand for 5-10 minutes before serving. (5-10 minutes)
